Why an Effective Communication course?
Communication is a 2 way thing. It is not only what we say but
what we understand is being said to us. Did you know it is said that only
7% of our communication skills are about the words we choose? The rest
is body language, and tone of voice. I want you to slump in a chair now, with your arms folded and your head bowed. How do you feel when you do this? Now stand up and be tall, shoulders back, head high. How do you feel now? The words we choose can help us standup tal l and gain confidence. Just as the way we listen can help us understand better what is being said to us.
What to expect?
Expect to have fun learning how to use the right words and body
language to get your message across.
Expect to learn something about yourself you didn’t know
before. Expect to meet people who, though they may have hugely different
jobs and life styles, have the same challenges communicating effectively.
You will be given course notes and handouts to help you learn and to refer
to at a later date. You will be challenged and above all stimulated to think on your feet
Jenny’s skills are essentially aimed at enhancing the natural
confidence of those she meets, that so often lies hidden beneath years
of bad habits and false beliefs. Jenny’s style is compassionate yet firm,
passionate yet down to earth. She has an engaging style that maintains student participation and pulls the best out of her students.
