Living Authentically

Open Mind Therapy

Who do you think you are?

And I don’t mean, “How dare you!” or “You fancy yourself, don’t you?”. I mean, who in reality have you come to believe you are? And more importantly, is it actually accurate? Are the terms you have become used to describing yourselves in fact you?

Many people come to me in my practice asking one question: Who am I? I don’t really know who I am. I don’t have the answers, but strange as it may seem, you do!

Getting to know who you truly are is a journey many never embark upon. It takes courage. But I often ask myself the question, “Why are people prepared so easily to live second hand lives?” Defined only by what they think they are and not who they truly are…..

It takes courage, but it’s so much better when you share the journey with others. As a natural progression to individual therapy, or just for the sheer pleasure of it, this one day course, takes you just that bit further into your journey to living authentically.

What is “Living Authentically?”

To Live Authentically means

                to be comfortable with yoruself,
to be peaceful about your choices,
                to be free of angst,

to appreciate your own uniqueness
to love precisely who you are right now
to forgive yourself and be more generous with others
to let go of needing to control to feel safe
