Assertiveness and Confidence Building

Will help you change your life in a positive way and give you:

  • The ability to take responsibility for yourself and your
    actions without judging or blaming other people
  • The ability to find a compromise where conflict exists
  • The confidence and freedom to achieve all this

Be assertive - become the master of your life!

Assertiveness is a behaviour that allows a person to:

Promote personal interests:
Learn how to take the iniative and act in all areas of life: in personal relationships, in families and at work and in our social life. Learn how to say no!

Sincere expression of feelings:
To show affection and love unreservedly, to express anger, to admit fears and anxieties, to lend support and to be accepting, to acknowledge hurt and jealousy, to be spontaneous: all with a feeling of calm and easiness, valuing yourself and others.

To fulfil personal rights:
As a consumer, at work and in the family. This means expressing your ideas and thoughts, and making a difference in the larger world. Respecting and protecting yours and other people’s rights and understanding that we can be heard.

Develop your wisdom:
Acting in the here and now, taking control and knowing how to manage a situation assertively and fairly is developing your wisdom - a quality that we all could enhance through assertivenss training.

Course 1: November 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th, December 5th, 12th 2007

Course 2: February 20th, 27th, March 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th 2008

Course 3: June 11th, 18th, 25th, July 2nd, 9th, 16th

Venue: St Mary’s Centre, Churchend, Gt Dunmow. CM6 2SJ

Time: Wednesdays 7pm till 10pm

Cost: £150 for the 6 week course, or pay online and get a £25 discount.
